Happy ending for Zowey

We adopted our puppy, Zowey, from TLC. We had seen a picture of her and her sister on your web site and couldn't wait to meet them. Our family dog, Makayla (Siberian Huskey) had passed away due to cancer in her spine. We had adopted her from the animal shelter in Chicago Ridge. Makayla was 10 years old and was the most wonderful dog you could ever imagine. Her loss devastated us and left a huge void in our lives. We couldn't imagine that we could ever love another dog, the way we loved her. Boy were we wrong. Zowey has filled our home with so much love and laughter. Our son Ryan is 21 and he has Down Sydrome. Zowey has taken an instant liking to him and Ryan couldn't be happier. Thank you TLC for helping us find the perfect dog for our family. The man at the front desk gave is wonderful advice. He told us to put the puppy in the backyard before bringing her into our home and not play with her, so she could go to the bathroom. I have to tell you his advice worked perfectly, she has never had an accident in our home. We wanted to let you know that Zowey is a very happy dog and she filled a huge void in our lives. Thank you TLC!!

Happy ending for Miss Mazzy

Hi TLC,

We just wanted to say THANK YOU for Miss Mazzy, the 6(ish) year old Cocker Spaniel we adopted from you on July 20th. We absolutely adore her and have welcomed her as a family member.

A total charmer, Maz has a sweet, gentle, and loving disposition. She is still pretty nervous though so she follows Mama around like a shadow, none-the-less she enjoys meeting anyone and everyone, dogs too, and is just a good-natured little thing.

The Mazster was potty trained in about 5 days and we treated her for tummy upset and ear infections. The vet said she possibly had a heart murmur, but otherwise gave her a clean bill of health. We plan to spay her once the vet gives us the go ahead, but they will check her again tomorrow to decide about that (the murmur could be an issue with anesthesia).

just wanted to let you know that things are going exceptionally well and we are grateful.

With kind regards,

The Gray/Weslar Family

Happy ending for Bowser (formerly Junior)

We adopted Bowser (formerly Junior) in February 2010. He is a lab/beagle mix.  He was about 4 months old when we adopted him. Although we went through the typical puppy phases, complete with CHEWING, we couldn't be happier! Bowser is truly our best friend. He loves to go everywhere with us! Bowser loves every person, dog, and cat! He is so friendly and loving. We couldn't ask for a better pet! We are hoping to get bowser involved in a volunteer program, since he just LOVES people! I think it would be wonderful to share his loving, affectionate attitude and sweet face with others. Thanks to TLC for all you do to help all your wonderful animals find their forever homes!!

Happy ending for Vader & Freckles

Hello! My name is Vader and this is my sister Freckles. We are Pointer Collie/Terrier mix puppies and we were adopted on July 13, 2010 by our new mommy and daddy. They love us so much! They take us on lots of walks to get our energy out because we love to run crazy around the house. Mommy and daddy buy us so many toys that we are always playing with. We're a handful, but mommy says we're worth it! Our favorite snack is ice, we love ice! We love going on car rides and meeting new people. Everyone tells mommy how we are such good puppies.
Attached is a picture of us dressed up for Halloween. We are learning to wear our costumes. I am a ghost and my sister is a pumpkin. We are so excited to go Trick or Treating because all of our neighbors love us! Thank you!
